Noise Prediction/Noise Reduction Technology

Overview

Osaka Gas is working on developing noise prediction technology for evaluating the impact of noise generated by gas appliances on the surrounding environment and noise reduction technology.

Noise Prediction Technology

The noise prediction technology predicts noise propagation from the source and its impact on the surrounding environment.
We use two different calculation methods for analysis purposes: wave sound analysis, which has a high calculation load but can calculate with high accuracy, and geometric sound analysis, which allows large-scale calculation. Using these two on a case-by-case basis, we conduct noise impact assessments of various scales, from small scales of several meters to large scales of hundreds of meters.

今後の取り組み

Since it is more effective to deal with noise at the source rather than after it occurs, we plan to develop vibration analysis technology aimed at reducing the vibration that causes noise.
